Re: Spectra Clark Pump stalled (380c)

A second careful look at the picture with the magnet out, you can clearly see the round imprint made outside the magnet seat as the magnet was wedged against the piston and end cap at about 9 O'clock. This was definitely the problem.

Re: Spectra Clark Pump stalled (380c)

I removed but keep the magnet as a remainder about ”Single Point of Failure”. I guess this case was a bit unique, bit now I know the Spectra a lot more and can handle more situations with watermaker by myself. I have not had this kind of support from Spectra as I read that others had. A BIG hand goes to Tellie that moved me forward. It was a close encounter that I throw the unit overboard.

Again
Thanks to all of you and especially Tellie!

Re: Spectra Clark Pump stalled (380c)

Tellie,
Thanks for the description.
The minute I read there was electronics involved (even before your description)
I realized it could tell the computer about water delivery volume and "stalled" condition.
Sewing machines use stuff like that for "Check the bobbin thread" or "Check the upper thread for breakage".
