Source for hatch support spring?

I have a circa 1986 `Super Hatch' (don't recall make) that uses a spring to hold it in the open position, as well as prevents the hatch from being over-extended. Need to find a replacement but have searched the web to no avail. It is similar to the Seachoice hatch spring with molded nylon mounting ends, but is about 12.5 inches long (including the ends) and about 7/8 inch diameter. It also has a steel cable that runs up the middle of it.

Any ideas on a source?

Hatch Spring

This spring has nylon ends

Made by TH Marine and available at West Marine

They call it a lid support spring

I bought the exact same spring with stainless ends from another store online last year. Price was exactly the same. The screw hole pattern was also the same
