Could ferrocement be used to mould an effective acoustic enclosure in sections?

Ferro lends itself to custom construction even more than GRP so it should be possible to make panels fit awkward shapes with fewer gaps than using board materials.

Presumably it's fireproof? Weight for weight I can't think of anything else that would come close to being as cheap.

Haven't heard of ferro hulls being built recently but there are enough old ones still sailing to prove its strength surely?

Noxudol 3100. I just got a gallon of it imported today (ouch) and will be painting forward bulkheads of engine compartments with it. used for automotive sound reduction in Europe. Spray, brush, roller. It comes in aerosol, too.
