87 pages?! That's not a glossary, that's a language. I think I'll read it on Kindle. Thanks for posting it, Gord.

In the following glossary, entries have been illustrated wherever possible, either within the glossary, or in the text.

Good stuff Gord, as usual. But if you don't know the myriad of boat terms like "Thing-a-ma-bob, whatchamacallit, Doohickies, and the preverbal "That God Damned %&*piece of#@$^%$#@!@@ing thing, you can't communicate with everyone on the same level.

Re: SHIP AND BOAT BUILDING TERMS

Gord, good stuff there, but couldn't find "gizmo","framus" or the EU equivalent, "phramus". With the accent on the 1st syllable, of course. So thinking next edition could be 90 pages..

Re: SHIP AND BOAT BUILDING TERMS

"Rasmus", the very northern german name of Poseidon - god of sea and weather - is missing.

However - good stuff and a LOT to learn. Thx.

Cheers
