So do I! I enjoy challenges, but mainly on my

I assume the objective of the
designer was to conceal the outboards from view.
PDQ did a good job of this, but with mounts in the bridgedeck so no hole through the bottom.
We had a cat with an
outboard mounted in the middle of the bridgedeck, and always accepted it for the advantage of being able to raise the prop and all out of the
water. Besides, mounted there it's not stuck out there visible like a sore thumb on a
monohull (had one of those, too).
But you have what's there, so maybe you can come up with something that works. Getting the
water out would be nice, but not your biggest difficulty or need, I'd think.
