Got confirmation from Beneteau now. Stupid mistake from my side really, but on my old Jeanneau the Hull Identification Number stamped to the hull is the whole number. Then it was very easy to cross reference with the different conformity certificates, official registrations and the bill of sale. Than you again for your help!

my Beneteau has the full number stamped into the transom

I read on one forum post that a Beneteau owner located their HIN hidden under the battery box in the engine compartment embossed into the hull as well as on the stern.
