Seal galvanized shackle pins?

The layer of protection on a galvanized shackle pin is frequently breached during installation leading to corrosion as seen in this photo. I have had pins on my vessel completely rust out and the shackle itself looked fine.

This is not a photo from my vessel. Rather it is from Habitat on Penang Island Malaysia. It is a nonprofit forest habitat attraction. The engineer who designed the rigging holding up this structure is obviously not a sailor. Pins were obviously not sealed after the structure was built.

I seal the pins on my vessel and want to recommend these pins are sealed too. I also want to recommend using sealant on the rope rigging.

However, I want to get an idea of your recommendations before telling them they have a maintenance issue.
