Re: Seacock backing plate yes/no?

Well if anyone is interested in these "Spartan" seacocks I have access to 3 or 4 in varying sizes.
They're on consignment for $75 and under at a nearby private marine shop called Salty Dogs.

Re: Seacock backing plate yes/no?

When I first saw the photo of your new-to-you seacock I noticed that the lever's pivot (pin? screw?) looked new and wondered what metal it was and whether it was a roll pin.
And then I forgot to mention it.
If someone has refurbished it - which seems likely - I hope they didn't cut corners.

The handle is held in by a small brass bolt with Allen head. No pins.

Does anyone have experience with the Watts marine fittings? They have seacocks, valves and thru hulls all listed as 85-5-5-5 Bronze. Watts Marine Bronze Full Flow Marine Ball Valve with Drain Plug - FreshWaterSystems.com
