Sea-Dek Nonskid Panels

Hello all,

Does anyone have experience with Sea-Dek nonskid material? I have Treadmaster on my deck and like it for its impact absorption and non-skid qualities, but do not like the diamond pattern (and the smooth isn't non-skid enough!) In searching for similar products, I've come across Sea-Dek, but have never seen it or heard people talk of it.

Looks/sounds a lot like Hydro-turf products, with which I have had positive experiences.

Please relay and experience or thoughts you may have on the matter.

Thanks for your time,
Aaron N.

I looked at Sea-Dek as an alternative for a deck-refinishing project but decided against it based on the manufacturers rated lifespan of 5 to 7 years. Re-decking is just way too big a project to redo every 5 years, IMO.

This is from the web site FAQ:

Q. What is the life expectancy?

Five to seven years. Longer if the boat is stored inside.

It seems this question gets asked a lot. Have you trried storing your boat inside?
