Sailboat Salvage Yards in Florida or Georgia
Can anyone suggest where I might find salvage or used sailboat equipment? I am in Sarasota for the holidays. I am specifically looking for instrument pods for the helm and large winches. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers

Don's Marine in Clearwater. Allow plenty of time, lots to see.
What kind of Navpod are you looking for, have one around here somewhere.

Try Marine Trading Post in Port Charlotte. You might call before going there they are small compared to the others mentioned.

Try the Sailor's Exchange in Saint Augustine. They have a large collection of boat junk. Also try the Monkey Fist in Green Cove Springs. They are not as large as the Sailor's Exchange; but, you never know what you will find. I have found good deals at both over many years. With internet selling, both have become more expensive. You can bargain best in person.

Second Don’s. Short drive, but as mentioned, block off a chunk of time to wander.

Isola, what kind of pod are you looking for? I have an Edson pod that was intended for a new chart plotter, but I didn't use it.
