Anyone ever see a fixed trim tab on an aircraft rudder?

That is a defect. They owe you a rudder or a refund. Period.

Who did the rudder job ? we need to know so we dont use them . Get a marine attorney, my guess that when when he gets the lawyers letter, he will offer to redo the job. Now there is loss of use boat yard pulling costs etc.
If you used a master or visa card you have some protection !
Best of luck you might just need a expert to modify the rudder so it works on that boat !
