I'm sayin' Cheech..... When I'm out there I promise to ...not... not... not... be CF-ing every day.... (or would that be Sea-Effing...)

Re: Rudder nightmare at sea

Hi folks, a big apology for taking so long to update. We have been cruising and sailing for the last few months. We have not had any internet reliably or for any length of time and I have not been on CF. We got the rudder sorted, sailed off as soon as we could and thankfully she has performed exactly as we would expect her to perform.

Just a big word of thanks to all our fellow sailors that were very supportive during that stressful time. Now being back on the water so to speak we will probably not be logging in online very much (I guess that is what full-time live-aboard sailing means haha.

All the best and fair winds to all of you who provided moral and practical support to us. You may notice that we changed the boat's name too. The old name meant nothing to us.

Glad things worked out so well in the (aft) end !

We hope to hear from you on occasion... less occasionally... about nothing in particular...

Boat: Still saving up for the next one!

Re: Rudder nightmare at sea

Hi, Regarding losing your rudder and needing to fix up some sort of emergency steering system I have a "great idea" that I'm anxious to try out, but unfortunately I am still saving up for my next boat... (Most people on CF are talking about how to make money while cruising but I'm still trying to find a way to make money while on land, however that is another story). So if there is anybody reading this that enjoys tinkering around and making stuff, as much as I do, then please send me a private message and I'll send you the details.
