Reverso

I recently purchased a Columbia 8.7. It has a Volvo Penta 2002 engine.
There is a fuel filter which carrys the trade name Reverso.

My research indicates this is a high end filter. At least if price has much bearing.

I tend to lean toward if it an't broke don't fixit.

Anyone have any experience with this brand filter.

Not familiar with the brand but periodic replacement of the fuel filter is recommended. I change mine (Volvo 2003) each time I change oil.

The original Volvo filter is actually a Bosch unit (Volvo 829919-3 Bosch# 457434051)

Use some care if cross referencing. A lot of filters that have the right threads and should screw on are too long to fit in the space allowed on the front of these engines.

Reverso Pumps generally make good gear.
Is it like one of these?

Thats the same problem I had. Could not find the one I think I have. It looks more like the one at Defender.

Reverso is definitely a fuel polishing system. Follow your lines back. Is it a fuel polisher line that you have? Or a filter that has been taken from the polisher and used with your regular fuel flow?
I am just getting into this with my Valiant. It has two automotive fuel pumps, some ancient Racors, and large paper filter of unknown origin. I will probably replace them all with a walbro, two new racors and an vacuum indicator. I plan on feeding the genset purified fuel too, and will have a loop for polishing.

Perhaps he does not have a reverso system, but simply a reverso filter element screwed into the engine?
