Two years ago a friend and I repainted my boat with Interlux Perfection. We used the roll and tip method but humidity may have been too high - ended up with orange peel finish and not the high gloss. Another friend has suggested a wet sand and then buff to bring up the high gloss. Has anyone done this or is it better to just do another coat of Perfection? Yes, don't we all wish we had Awlgrip.
Even with Awlgrip you have to follow the instructions as to temperature and humidity. Wetsanding will at least serve as possible prep for another coat if buffing doesn't work.
I had the same thing happen with Interthane Plus which was an earlier version of Perfection. I gave it a light scuff with Scotchbite pads on an orbital sander if I recall correctly, then another coat of paint. Came out much better, just the faintest orange peel and great gloss.
