To be fair, we've not had a
winter like that in decades. And
Lake Ontario didn't freeze that much...it just got all the upstream ice in large, boat-holing chunks. The main effect is that the very cold lake and the increasingly hot land is making its own
wind and mist, and you can't dress for either temperature...you have to carry fleeces down to the
boat and change aboard.
