Replacing a Vitrifrigo freezer door C110BT

Hello All, Has anyone replaced a freezer door to a Vitrifigo C110BT.
The Company only sells door replacements for their new model of freezer's with a new type of lock. I have read a person can install a spacer to allow the new lock to function? Any advice greatly appreciated! Would like to know if I can make it work before I ship a door to the boat in Grenada. Thanks

I have the same fridge but have not replaced the door so can’t help you there.

And hope you don’t mind a slight thread hijack ... but I’m heading your way next year and have been concerned about the Vitrifrigo front-door air-cooled fridge not staying cold enough in the Caribbean. How has it worked for you? Except I guess a door problem! (What happened??)

I'm wondering why you would need to replace the whole freezer door? (The new lock is apparently magnetic)

You haven't explained why you need to replace the whole door?

In Australia you can buy the seal from the fridge manufacturer or you can buy an "after market" seal at a fraction of the cost. If they haven't got one on the shelf they will "manufacture" one from a roll of the appropriate style molding (and do it in a couple of days)

Hello, The outer metal skin has separated from the core of the door. The bottom of the door has began to grow cancer and the door now sweats and drips onto the floor. The fridge and freezer are both still working like champs just the freezer door has failed. They have stopped making this exact model and the new model is a little different but I don't know how much changed? Thanks All
