Replaced strainer - grounding cables?

I replaced the old below-waterline brass raw water strainer on my Pearson 303 with a new plastic strainer above the waterline to reeuce hose clamps and failure points below the waterline to sleep better at night.
On the old brass strainer there were two green wires connected, the big question now is how I'd best ground these again.
Anyone have a similar setup? Would hate put in an inline brass element just to ground these, but not sure where else I should run these. Through hull perhaps?

Re: Replaced strainer - grounding cables?

It sounds like a bolt on the retired strainer was used as a connection point for those two wires, bonding that strainer and establishing an electrical connection to those other two locations.

Why not just use one of the mounting screws for the new plastic strainer as the point that will restore the electrical connection for those other locations by placing the wire terminals under that mounting screw?

Or, if those wires are not long enough, then either replace them as a longer point to point wire, or use an appropriate terminal block to restore the connection.

Just join the two wires together using whatever method you are comfortable with.
