My favorite product for this is Whink Rust Remover. You can find it in grocery stores with the
laundry products. It contains hydrofluoric acid. The guys here will tell you that just getting near it will kill you but they’ve been selling it to housewives for about seventy years. Hasn’t killed one yet.
If you’re afraid of a little glass eating acid, go with the oxalic acid. It will eventually
work. Look for powered
wood bleach in the
hardware store. I use it to treat my honeybees for mites. Doesn’t seem to bother the bees.
