Nothing happens fast in Latin America...and trying to make it go fast typically just makes it go slower or stop completely. Gotta go with the flow.
Good skills can be found at much lower rates than the USA but you have to spend some time getting to know who has good skillls and who is just desperate for work

now...first couple of guys who showed up probably had experience slapping patches on skiffs, but were more than willing to attempt whatever I would pay them for...pass (in this case a small area of wet core
...totally my fault). Then I tracked down the real glass guy...wow, loads of experience, great work ethic, and very reasonable.
