recommendation engine oil extractor

I was a little surprised to see the prices of these vacuum pumps in excess of $100 so I figured I'd ask for a recommendation so I don't have to waste time and money to get a good oil vacuum pump. Thanks for your recommends. Primary use is for a Yanmar 3GMD

I've tried all of them.
The only one I've liked is the one in the picture.
Pricey, but they last forever

The best ones I've used personally are the OEMTools branded units. The hoses on them are easy to work with, they're durable, and they come in various sizes.

Re: recommendation engine oil extractor

Our engine was fitted with a Banjo replacement sump plug piped to a pump. Oil is removed to discard containers in seconds. Probably about the same cost and a permanent zero storage solution.

I 2nd the recommendation from Saylormade.

I have the 3 gallon model from West Marine, bought used from Craigslist for $25. It's the perfect size for my 2QM20. Super easy to use.

Re: recommendation engine oil extractor

Because I have two engines and a generator I got one of these, so easy and no mess. Wish I had bought one years ago. https://www.amazon.com/Jabsco-17860-.../dp/B000O8B0M0

3rd the recommendation from Saylormade.

Got one with an employee discount working for an auto parts store during the Wuhan Plague.

Stable, long reach, powerful.

Re: recommendation engine oil extractor

The West Marine branded extractor works for me. You have to be patient but for once per season changes on a small Yanmar I don't mind.
