I have had great success re-waterproofing my dodger and Bimini with Thompson's Water Seal. Has any one tried using it on teak? I am wondering if it can be easily removed with a thinner or solvent after it has turned ugly. Also, I wonder how long it takes for it to turn ugly. In short, how difficult is to maintain?

Does your Bimini/dodger get stiff if you use Thompson's Water Seal?
I used Starbrite Waterproofing last year for the first time. It is unbelievably good! The Sunbrella did not get stiff and it didn't darken it. I've used Thonpsons in the past and World Famous tent sealer in the past and nothing comes close to the Starbrite stuff. I used a brush to put it on.

I use Fabric Guard 303 and it works very well- the Sunbrella is 100% waterproof, no sticky residue and no colour change. It's a bit expensive and should be applied every year, but it's worth it. Also, I believe it's the only product Sunbrella endorses for use on their material. As an added benefit, it repels mold and stains, keeping the material looking like new.
I didn't know about the Starbrite. I used the Fabric Guard 303 once but it was almost $50 a bottle here in Costa Rica. I used two bottles and it wasn't enough to totally seal it. I am sure it works great if you can enough of it at states prices.
