Price on Beta 30 (D1105)

Does anybody know what a Beta 30 cost new, they don't have a price list on their site and I can neither call them or reach them via email from where I am, for some reason. Thanks

A very rough price is about $9000.... This is a very rough price and would only include the motor.

Thanks, I thought it would be somewhere around 10k, when I tried to get an email address on their "contact us" function it wouldn't give me one, but at my position here the internet is spotty at best, having a hell of a time just responding to you guy's

Also look into Nanni Diesels. I actually think they are available in Guatamala and are a little cheaper than Beta. They are based on the exact same block as the Beta motors and super popular in Europe.

Yeah, If I end up doing this, which still remains to be seen, it will probably cost a few grand more, I'm going to want spare everything and then there's the shipping to Rio Dulce

Re: Price on Beta 30 (D1105)

Gotcha-I only looked at the boat show in Annapolis, so no help for Guatemala. Friends' experience have been that trying to bring boat parts in can subject them to very high import taxes. Just something to watch out for.
When I was looking, it appeared that 'boat show' pricing was about a twenty percent discount as I remember.
I believe I also recall a thread about someone repowering with either Nanni or Beta in Guatemala, with a dealer located there. Couldn't find the thread though, sorry.

Thanks, I'll see what I can find out, there is a guy on the Rio that does work on boats down there that might know, I talked to him a few years ago, I'll see if he's still there

Re: Price on Beta 30 (D1105)

Phasor Marine in Miami is one of the largest Kubota engine distributors in USA.
They build great generators & small marinized Kubota propulsion systems. I have one of their 37 hp propulsion engines in my Albin A25. $10,400 complete engine, transmission, adjustable mounts, harness & gauges. Even oil & filter.
They only build small propulsion kits up to the Kubota 37 hp 4 cyl.

Re: Price on Beta 30 (D1105)

I priced all of the diesels in that size a few years ago when I was thinking about replacing my Volvo 2003T & there was really no significant difference in price between any of them. However, the Beta 30, which was around $9,500, only came with a straight tranny so if you needed the downward angle it was another $1.000 or $1,500 which put it at the same price as the 37hp which included the transmission with the downward angle.

SKG, I can't imagine your situation brother. I have the phone number and fax number of the West Coast dealer. I met him at the Alameda boat show in the Fall. His name is Ethan Hirschfeld. He works for:

Beta Marine West.
400 Harbor Dr.
Sausalito, Ca 94965
Ph= 415-332-3507
fax= 415-332-3525
email= ethan@betamarinewest,com

He is very engaging and knowledgeable about their products. Genuinely a nice person and really tries to help people. Contact him ...you won't be disappointed in his service abilities. I am sure he can get you your information or direct you on accomplishing your mission. Your main mission is to leave the sand pit in one piece alive...
