Polishing Stainless w. Electric Polisher - What wheels? Compound?

I've got a Milwaukee cordless polisher which has been amazing, but now I am trying to figure out how I can use it to clean up and maintain your stainless things... like standing rigging and such.

Am I right that I should be looking for a yellow and white polishing pad/wheel that attaches to the polisher? I suppose the colors do have meaning?

Hi

I see no one has replied. This episode from Sailing Lady Africa may be helpful.

There is a lot of often conflicting info on the web. I am no expert though.
