Plastic Raw water strainers (engine)

Anyone have any thoughts/experience with Vetus polypro raw water strainers? I would love to go bronze but I cannot find a bottom feed/outlet strainer. I'm looking specifically at the Vetus FTR470 and the FTR330. Any info or recommendations would be appreciated.

My two cents is that vetus normally puts out pretty decent hardware.

If you have another 6 inches or so of width, groco makes 90 degree hose barbs that you can use on conventional style strainers to feed them from the bottom on a bulkhead mount.
