Pettit Trinidad SLR

..have been using the Pettit Trinidad SLR for a number of years..Just curious after lay up for 6 months and before launching again..just lightly sand then launch? The bottom looks good after haul out and high pressure wash down. Don’t want to add multiple layers of paint if the product is still working.. Have applied only in those areas of potential wear like leading edges and waterline only....

Re: Pettit Trinidad SLR

My understanding is that you now need to repaint the bottom.

Edit: I emailed Pettit just now to confirm:

Me: Trinidad SR bottom out of the water for six months. Sand and relaunch? Or repaint?

JPetrocelli@pettitpaint.com: Thank you for the email. Sand and apply a fresh coat.
