Perko Portlights

Anyone ever reseal the glass in Perko Round portlights,These are the old Bronze Portlights.I,have cleaned ect and can;t find out a way to remove the Glass.

Mine had a "snap ring" on the inside, pry up one end and work it out of there. Yours?

Cheechako,I,cleaned the entire port removed all Green Patina looked and looked for a starting point for a snap ring broke the glass I,.don't see it.Is there a split somewhere like most snap rings?

Yep, or longer arms one of the two! Glad you found it. Pretty cool old portlight design... you can take the glass right ourt and reseal it. my gaskets were crumbling.... I just used good silicone... shame on me!

PLan on using Butyl Tape worked on my last boat.See any problems
