On the hard...finally!

It was cold this morning, very cold. Overnight the lows dropped to just below freezing and my day was already planned. Today is the day we drive out to Carlyle to take the H25 out of the water and put her in the cradle for the winter.

Remember, this boat is still new to us and we're still learning about here. After two weeks of being way, this was a nice thing to see!

Since our motor is not attached, Smitty towed us around the docks and to the lift. Despite Jake dropping the tow rope, we had just the right amount of speed to carry us perfectly in to the lift...just like we knew what we were doing!

Once there, Smitty did his magic while we held her still.

Once secured in the lift, Smitty pulled us out and we headed over to where the cradle was waiting.

Last time heeling for the season! I wish!

Though still covered in algae, I looked the hull over and she looks solid. Of course, a more thorough inspection will happen in Spring after we sand all of that and the old bottom paint off.

Another fine display of, "Ive done this before," and we're all lined up.

Some wood planks and some turns of the bolts and...

We're in!
