Do you already know how to sail?
She is in Sea of Cortez.
Sailing... 45 years ago youth skipper school, if it counts. I will hire local sailing instructor or local delivery captain anyway - I know it will make me starting fast.

Re: Newly bought sailboat technical knowledge transfer

Ruso, you may want to continue with the owners' notebooks. Due to how much data can be lost when your computer dies, or is stolen, some of us use old fashioned notebooks. Such notebooks will allow you to see previous fuel, oil, and water consumptions--engine, genset [if any], cooking fuel, and the ilk. Also, there is likely to be a notebook with envelope pages with all the stuff one has added to the boat over the years and the warranties.

Enjoy.

Ann

Yes, Ann. Thanks.
Regardless of my computer proficiency I will continue maintenance records in writing. Depends on amount of data I might scan all receipts and maintenance logs and keep them protected and fall safe separately from the boat.

If you are in the San Diego area after COVID subsides I’ll take you for a spin if you are interested. I used to teach sailing.
