Re: My next yacht!!
That will be testing his deck for leaks.
How did the French manage to enter a destroyer in a yacht race? won't make it though, only enough fuel for a week at those speeds.
Wonder how long before we see after market foils for bolting on to a 30 footer

No! No! I don't think the destroyer is competing as it couldn't keep up with the yachts.
Compared to the last race, speeds on such boats will increase 10 knots (in what are known as crossed, reaching winds) and boats will be able maintain average speeds of 30 knots (34 mph, or 55 km/hr) for several hours at a time.5 days ago

Re: My next yacht!!
So the Hugo Boss boat is still in the running even with a busted foil?

That video is from the previous race (4 years ago?). it's not the current Hugo Boss.

Phew, thought he had broken another boat.
Met him at a petrol station by chance a couple of months ago, wished him all the best. Drives one of Mercedes finest, you can guess the colour.

Sorry, my mistake. Outstanding sailing footage! It looks like he would be fully capable of washing bird poop off the tri-colour by dipping the mast at speed.

Re: My next yacht!!
when Alex wants to wash bird poop of his sails, he simply walks up the mast with a hose.....he might even change to wearing a suit for this job....

Last run about 10 years ago, now decommissioned and stored away at home ready for my retirement and a spot of coastal fishing, that's if we can still buy petrol then, rather than everything being powered by di-lithium crystals
I think she is from the mid 1960s, a good vintage.
