My boat is sinking - on land.

I have a 42" Little Harbor that spends the winter on the hard in Rhode Island. It's has a full canvas cover. When it rains the bilge fills and freezes and fills some more. If I'm not checking it and draining it regularly the transmission and oil pan would be underwater. I can't leave the bilge pump on because it does not drain completely and just freezes up. My guess is the water is coming in through the mast. Anyone else have a similar problem? Any solutions.

If possible install a garboard drain plug preferably a double sided one with through bolts. Open in the fall to allow all water to drain, just remember to put it back in come spring time.

Just pick it up and move it inside. I mean ... it's only 3½ feet long, right?

Seems like an unusual volume of water making it way just down the mast. Have you ever left your bilge pump(s) off during a summer downpour just to verify all that water is making its way down the mast? Your hull form wouldn’t indicate exceptionally shallow bilges.

Agree! Any boat stored outdoors on land needs a garboard drain. All boats wil get rain/snow melt in the bilge sometime.

SeanPatrick, that's not fair. I mean, it might seem reasonable to pick it up and move it inside, it's only 3 1/2 ft., but it displaces 28,450 lb. plus all that water.
