Re: My boat has developed a list to Port

I vote for a minor issue with how the WL is painted thereby altering preception . Has the op actually checked with main halyard used as a plumb line or some type of actual level to determine if it is actually listing and by how much. So far I have seen lots of speculation from minor to catastrophic failures and BTW a rig issue like needing to be retuned would not cause a listing issue.

Re: My boat has developed a list to Port

Update, problem solved. It was the port deck absorbing water like a sponge during all the rain we were having. Rainy season left and we opened her up, 5' on port deck. Replaced core and closed it back up. next project is more leak fixes then deck re-paint. After the furler, rear seal leak, port lights, etc..

It is nice isn't it when someone comes on asking for help with an issue and actually let's the rest of us know what the problem ended up being. Most just leave us hanging and guessing.

I ALWAYS try and remember to thank the OP for the resolution... There's been more than a few threads that were pages long, tons of help, tons of interaction from the OP... and then... crickets..... And then a few posts asking if the issue was resolved... maddening...

Crazy to think that the relatively short section of saturated deck was enough weight to cause the list...
