Moving Waterline

My boat sets with the painted water line slightly below the true water line. This causes the regular hull paint to be exposed to the water and barinacles grow and are real hard to completely remove. How much of a deal would it be to just paint the bottom paint 1 inch higher. I know that I should just take off some weight but I have not easily figured out what to take off. It only sets that way when it iti fully loaded with water, fuel, food and supplies.

Re: moving waterline

Almost every cruising boat goes through this. Yep, just paint line up higher. Go 2 inches higher at least if going through effort. May want (need) to repaint boot stripe to match.

Note that deciding on line is not so easy. 1" at the beam might require 4" at an overhanging stern following the shape of the hull.
