MOST Sailors Have Had This Problem....

How to remove "Blue Painters Tape" from the deck.........

Had this masking tape on to paint on a new "non-skid" paint.......

Non-skid came out beautiful, but left the "blue" tape on one day too long and now it's almost impossible to remove....

what do I use to get the remaining tape off the deck ?????

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

HC,

This is what I've found works. Squirt some WD-40 on it, let it sit for a few minutes, and then rub it off with a soft cloth.

At this point you will need to soak the tape. Be careful not to damage the areas the tape is stuck to. Mild solvents such as WD40 or our preference of mineral spirits will work but you must soak and let sit until it pulls loose.
