More Mast Paint Advice

I also need advice on mast paint. I have a varnished spruce mast that the previous owner got sick of varnishing and painted a light brown color over it. I was told that the idea was to be able to easily strip it one day down the line. As we are cruising in the tropics for a couple more years I intend to leave well enough alone and will strip and varnish the mast, and boom and bowsprit when we get home and probably sell then. I have seen some other boats in the Pacific Northwest with , what I thought, was identical paint color and wondered if there is a known paint intended for that purpose. But I need to repaint some spots and touch up some dings, and a 60 hour gale a few months ago actually stripped a lot on the bowsprit that requires some work. Thank you to any with advice.

I believe that's just a traditional color for the purpose rather than a type of paint. Looks sorta like wood lol.

Believe the color is called Spar Buff for a traditional colored mast.
