Mast repair

Recently dismasted 1979 39 Irwin Citation.
Looking for info regarding sleeve repair and shortening mast in addition to relocating chainplates to external. Will I need to add more glass to hull freeboard for externals?
Can I use the existing extrusion once I remove 6-7’ for internal sleeve?
Any help or links much appreciated.

you need a LOCAL rigger and welder for these answers. someone who can SEE the issues first hand and estimate your work and do it. good luck.

Hoping to find someone on here w info specific to Irwin’s hull thickness at freeboard and how much glass I might need to add. Sleeping mast is an option if unable to find used
