the whole salvage thing is something I am interested in... I need (well, want, really for the most part) a bit of old mahogany to do some repairs where a leaky port has resulted in some damage to the cabinetry. The inside trim around the hatch is cracked. The window in the forward hatch isn't trimmed out at all. I would kill for some lengths of galley rail to edge the tops of the cabinets. I want to make up some cup and plate holders for storing things in the galley. All the stores (online too) are offering teak. and at prices that pretty much make my eyes bulge. No one seems to have mahogany.

And I KNOW that there are boats out there being dismantled that have what I want in em. Anyone know how I can get the stuff I want?

Same for me with a bit of aged teak to patch the toerail. A few secondhand cleats and stuff wouldn't be amiss either. YES! I AM a cheapskate!
