I'm going to strip and service my windlass, and the manual calls for antisieze compound to be applied to the shaft. I cantt find any in Puerto vallerta so was wondering if I can use Tef Gel instead? Works a treat on threads etc, or am I missing something?

If it's the shaft that drives the capstan and gypsy I would use a good waterproof bearing grease. I wouldn't use something like Never-seize as it has granules in it that may wear the shaft(similar to lapping compound).
But your best bet is to call Lighthouse and see what is best to use and/or if what you have will work.
