Keel Center board cable replaced with dyneema?

The stainless steel centerboard cable on my keel centerboard Bristol has parted. I was thinking of replacing it with dyneema. The cable travels a bit of a torturous path, from the CB attach point, around two 2" sheaves and up to a cable winch. Is there any concern with using dyneema in this application ?

Did it on my boat. Only problem is the tail of the splice for the eye to shackle the pennant to the board is quite long. The splice hangs up in the turning block in the keel so board hangs down a couple of inches below the keel. Probably would be fine if I just used a knot to secure the cable to the board.
