JOTUN paint systems

Hello kind people,

I have a small issue, since I noticed that I don’t have enough paint to finish off my refit project. I’m currently in Indonesia where it’s hard to find good paint.
So I have 5liters of jotun cover AX, and I can find locally the jotun cover XP.

My question is, can I use the XP as first layer and overcoat with the AX to finish?
I’m aware caution is to be taken combining different systems, so this brings me here, I hope someone has some insights.

We had a similar situation here in Malaysia recently. After putting 3 coats of Jotun SV50 on the boat in Australia last year, we were hauled out here in malaysia recently but SV50 is not available. The paint was in pretty good shape but as we were out and dry we wanted to take the opportunity to slap on some paint. After talking with Jotun in Malaysia they assured me that the two products available here in Langkawi are compatible, Sea Force and Sea Spectrum I think?
Anyway with a light sand we were able to apply a couple of coats. If the product available in Indo is similar to what you have then most likely it is compatible. Check directly with Jotun by contacting their head office.
