I'd have to get back to the boat again to examine the grid but I wonder how easily any of that is accessed? The structural stuff is what really worries me. Ive has two surveyors look at it and both said there could be further damage but no way to know without cutting into it. I just feel there has to be a better way to check without hacking into to see.

By no means am I an expert, but did any of the surveyors do any percussion testing (tapping) on the hull to determine if there was any delam.? I believe there are other non-destructive methods to determine if there is delam.

Ok, that is the link I was hoping you would find showing the joint construction. Looks fairly straight forward for a joint repair.

Could see re-taping (f/g) the interior to cover the rivets again could be a pain if cabinets were in the way.

Here's some additional pictures. The damaged section looks very accessible from the inside but this spot is actually the most severely damaged.

The worst damaged part looks like it'd need to have a backer applied in order to regain the original contoure to match the rest.

Yeah, that looks a little worse than the other pics you previously provided. Again would let a very experienced f/g person do that repair.

Whether the boat was worth it to me largely pivoted around whether I could do the repair. We've gotten quotes from local glass guys and they were approaching 6 figures. I think the cost of doing work in the Annapolis area is unreasonable, the quote had charges like 10 grand to lower the mast, 8k to set up a tent, and almost 40k to repaint the hull. If I had to hire it all out I think is be better getting another boat that was already completed, I just hoped I could add some sweat equity to this one.

I have not contacted privilege yet, that may be a good idea.

Agree that Annapolis prices are stupid expensive.

There may be yards in Deltaville VA that maybe able to do the work.

Been a little while so I wanted to provide an update for anyone invested in this

I've been at the boat for a couple weeks now working on the damage, the weather has been one of the largest obstacles between rain and cold. There was minimal delamination beyond the visible damage with almost nothing near the bulkhead. All the damage has been ground out, recored, and has 5 layers of 1708 applied which is maybe ever so slightly too high but I figured I'd rather sand some extra off than try to keep building up. Once the rain stops I will behind fairing and then the challenge of attempting to match the gelcoat color!
