Hull and Damage Done !!!

So the 3 photos show the boat up on the ways in Sointula, BC.
The second pic is the front of the keel when I ran aground on my first outing lesson well learned lol.
The 3 rd is it repaired and fresh anti fouling paint.
Thank god for great friends.
Can't wait for the next trip woo hoo

Yup watch your tides I should have been looking at the color of the rocks instead of the sea lions.

Good lesson. "Don't hit anything" is about the only rule for the helm on our boat. Misdirection and distraction is the root of a lot of things very bad.

Good rule to have maybe one day I'll adopt it till then I'm gonna just keep learning.

Looks much better now than it did before.

After patiently asking HWMO to fix the nose on my beachcat for over two years, I finally ran it up on the rocks last month... Job got done pronto, and looks much better now. Sometimes drastic measures are needed....

Lol I didn't do the work, my buddy is a ship wright and Bc ferry engineer, he surprised me when he sent pics I didn't even know he was gonna do it.

But if the keel front were of a different design ;-) there would have been way less damage ;-). Ask Scandinavians!

Good job. Reminds me of our early cruising days back in 2003 ;-))))
