How to refurbish cockpit teak

The only teak decking I have on my Tashiba-31 is on the cockpit seats. As you can see, the screwheads are showing in a number of places and the caulking is pretty rough condition. I'm looking for advice/tips on how to refurbish this. For instance - would it be ok to simply remove the screws, seal the hole and replug?

The thickness is getting to be about 1/4-inch as seen at the lid edge.
