How to fit solar vent?
I'm confused....

What is the purpise of the round plastic (nylon or similar) ring ?

Cut out is said to be 116-120mm, with the higher number tapered. But the plastic ring is bigger than that....

Should the plastic ring be pushed down that much into the gasket by tightening the screws?
