It would be best to retain access to the cockpit drain and engineexhaust. if those hoses are original, you might want to replace them, and use really top quality hose clamps in the reinstallation. We get less mobile as we age, and it makes access more difficult. Please don't ask how i know this.

You might want to think about self-tightening hose clamps. Rubber and plastic hoses compress over time, causing clamps to loosen, even if properly installed.
