Hot water line..

Ok, So, I redid my water lines two years ago. all of them..
I used the water lines that are marine crap. the clear with the white cross threads in it.
So, now my Hot water smells like ****. the cold is good but, the hot water for the first 3 minutes is bad, really bad..

What water line can I use that with last and not deteriorate with the hot water??

I seriously doubt it is the hose. The smell is sulfide, coming from sulfate in the water. It's not coming from the hose.

Because it is only the hot water, the most likely cause is a dead anode in the hot water heater.

Re: Hot water line..

Try the hose they use to connect the hot water for clothes washing machines and dish washers.

I also think the first place you should look is at the water heater for a dead anode, as for using pex, I think when it comes time for me to redo mine that is an idea that I may be stealing....
