Hot: Black caulking between teak planks are melting

Its been 35-40C in the shade the past couple of days. I noticed that the black caulking between the teak boards out at the cockpit melt and stain feet. As a stop gap I taped them but is there anything I can do to better remedy the situation?

Slosh it down frequently with sea water; it may cool it enough.

It will be an experiment. We've never had to cope with teak decks ourselves (by choice). If this works for you, it will save you a very big job.
