Re: Home made silver/silver chloride half cell

Thanks, I have a piece of silver waiting from amazon -

999 Pure Silver Flat Bezel Strip Wire 30ga x 1/8'' (Soft) (10cm)

Which will then be connected to an accurate ads1115 voltage sensor into a microprocessor to monitor and record the voltage and also control a FET with some zinc if necessary, with a silver/silver chloride half cell to check the calibration.

Re: Home made silver/silver chloride half cell

When you connect to the silver, (standard rosin core solder preferred) make sure to completely waterproof the connection area and wire connection.
Only the silver can come in contact the water or the calibration will be off.

For my mobile silver probe, I used an old earring.
I just unwound it to about a two inch, straight 1/8" rod, then soldered and used heat shrink to an insulated wire for waterproofing.
