Hey can I have some privacy please!!!
Hi Everyone,
I have just installed an electric toilet on a second hand boat I have just bought. However, there is no privacy for anyone using the toilet. Would anyone be able to help me with some suggestions for a privacy screen? I have attached some photos so that you can see how open the toilet is. There was no other spot suitable for the toilet.
Thank you

Isn't there an Australian tribe that do their business in public but eat in private. Perhaps you can adopt that mentality.

Re: Hey can I have some privacy please!!!
You can get curtain rails and curtains from Spotlight or Kmart,
A single rail across the top, rings to go on the rail, and then clipped or sewn into the Curtain, They just tie back against the wall when not in use, Even a velcro strap stuck to the wall,
There are various types of curtains, You can buy them at a set length or get them made to measure,
Set length is the cheapest, Keep them an inch or two above the floor to stop getting dirty,

Privacy? .... sorry I thought you were talking about a boat.... peeing over the side doesn't get a screen... not sure any curtain is actually going to make a difference. If she is Shy you head out on deck.

Long/wide bamboo roll up shade. That way it's completely out of the way when not in use. Very inexpensive and some have colorful designs. Maybe a tie dye one...

Roller blinds with snaps or small latches on the bottom. When not in use, they self-secure. No clue how the workings will fare in salt air, however. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Window...#Roller_blinds

Re: Hey can I have some privacy please!!!
First, we were looking at rural cabins a few years ago in 11 states and came across a cabin in a frozen winter area with an outhouse 100 feet from the cabin that had a nice long plank with 2, count 'em 2, access holes, as it were, so a happy couple, or I suppose 2 friends, could squeeze off a couple of fudge monkeys ( courtesy of South Park) in perfect harmony. That said, I would make a curtain and if you wanted to muffle telltale noises use a packing blanket.

We once used a curtain on a bungee cord. Easy to take down when not needed and easy to store no rod or pole to deal with.

I like the fact that as long as that giant big screen TV swivels, you can do away with the stack of Field and Stream mags by the commode.
"No privacy for the head, but damn I got a big TV"
At least your guy priorities are straight.

Re: Hey can I have some privacy please!!!
Myself and most of my crew would be sensitive also. I recall one of my contract jobs while working for an aircraft company in the great Northwest, was to design a private head for an Indonesian aircraft. If I were you I would sketch up a hard, rigid, fixed, U shaped barrier, with internal sliding door or curtain. Let it include a small sink, and TP roller. Include the storage cabs shown in the photo. Go vertical to the ceiling which has an exhaust fan. Then go to a reputable mechanic and have him/her build and install it. You may already have a holding tank or valve to deal with the affluent. The water line should not be a problem. You will lose some space but that was a known when you installed the WC. Easy to do. And make it attractive, the ladies will give you thumbs up.

Re: Hey can I have some privacy please!!!
A couple of good suggestions, draw across curtain or draw up blind. I like shower liners, as they're more flexible. You can get a nice opaque white to match the rest of the boat.
And the burka comment was funny. I almost snorted in my drink after I realized it wasn't a target. Lighten up, Francis
