Try Nolans. They have a warehouse in Newcastle, so not too far from you.

Nolan UDA - Home

However I contacted them when I was doing a job 2-3 years ago and the prices were not very attractive. I finished up buying some of a runout colour from Great Lakes Skipper (in US) and paying the shipping to here. It worked out to a bit less than $20 a metre delivered. Buying from Sailrite in US still works out far cheaper than Nolans (add to cart to see their discounted price).

Acrylic canvas and window vinyl are used in the sign industry for fabrication of commercial awnings in quantities far greater than are used for yachts. Additionally, there are many companies that just make awnings.

Not sure what sources existing in Oz but you might check with either of these types of companies as they frequently have remnant pieces big enough for your project. They may part with at reduced prices since they are already paid for by whatever job they are leftover from and are otherwise collecting dust.

Did you buy direct from the US with sailrite or did you go through their Australian Dealer?

Ill check the other tips too

I have bought stuff directly from Sailrite in the US, but my fabric was from Great Lakes Skipper, also in US.

In both cases, the process was easy. The shipping price is a bit daunting, but overall the price is less.
