Re: Help identifying plumbing fittings?

This is a boat not a house. You do not need to have a flow rate of five gallons a minute. I used 3/8 pex which works great. Hot water in half the time of 1/2 inch and if the flow rate slows down when wide open then my tank does not empty as fast. My house is also plumbed with pex. I use the home run system where each fitting gets its own line back to a master manifold so there is not a pressure drop when a second fixture is opened. 3/8 is easier to bend, cheaper and helps control water usage. I have used a manifold with all the valves at the pump/bladder tank so no elbows or T s, every fixture has its own pex line and valve at the manifold.

Re: Help identifying plumbing fittings?

Let me ask this now. I can't get to the tank take off its about 5ft of the 3/8 polybutlene. Im gonna tap into that and go up to 1/2 pex. Think ill have a pressure drop too bad? My pump is after the transition

Since this is on the suction side it can't do anything but improve the situation - but probably imperceptibly.

Re: Help identifying plumbing fittings?

My 3/8 poly give me good pressure and i have a jury rigged shower etc. I dont blow through my tanks as it is now. Just hoping i dont screw up a good thing by "fixing" this.. i have a leak somewhere and i also need to reroute pipes and adding a foot pump in the head. Plus will be adding a water maker down the road..
